I am a senior citizen, grandmother of 11 fabulous and loving grandchildren.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am the mother of four wonderful kids and grandmother to 11 fabulous grandchildren. I have lived here for 12 years and loving it! Family is my passion and utmost priority and would go to the ends of the earth for each of my children and grandchildren. All of my kids are passionate about their families like myself, and are very selfless and successful individuals.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been retired from the insurance industry since 2009, and my main focus was servicing the needs of my clients which was fulfilling and rewarding.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
A favorite Mexican restaurant named El Tapatio and Olive Garden.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in the Portland area for 12 years, having come from California.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

The most interesting person in my community would be my dear friend Suki. She has shared many many stories of her life with me, and her stories never cease to amaze me. She has faced many obstacles on her life, and I have not met anyone who always has a smile on her face. I am in awe of her bravery and and how she fights life with grace.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Favorite movie is The Thornbirds. I have too many shows to name a favorite.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Don’t waste your life holding grudges, life is too short.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
My dear friend Suki, she is an inspiration to me, and the place to have lunch would be her choice.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The willingness of neighbors to help others.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Still here in Portland enjoying my family.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
That I love licorice ice cream.

My four children
